# Preface This particular entry is going to cover two weeks, and thus the end of the month of November 2025. # Part 1: Non-Fiction Whether it was about an experience I had at Zion National Park last year, or Thanksgiving reflections, I wrote a decent chunk of words. Mostly I tried to be still and process things in a time normally spent with family. I did have [Some Thoughts as We Headed into Thanksgiving](https://substack.com/@aroacephoto/p-179978129), though. For Thanksgiving, I went to a restaurant in the East Bay called Harry's Hofbrau, which has a turkey dinner meal that is insanely popular. I ended up meeting a whole group of people that had me sit with them for dinner. The day after Thanksgiving I finally sat down to draft a copy of my End of Year Letter. I send this out to best friends and found family. Word count: 2,809 # Part 2: Fiction I really need to add pages that will describe the different projects I've got going on. This way I can simply link to that page whenever I mention it. ## Project Moonshadow I wrote down the backstory for my protagonist, Isaac. This ended up being super important for the Fae folk he runs into in his unfortunate adventure. This is to encourage me to keep going. While I'm not competitive, seeing how I'm doing often encourages me. I'm difficult to stay encouraged, which is why I've decided to keep track of word counts. There are word goals that I'm going toward. But I think I'll include that in a later blog entry.
