# Preface
December 7, 2025
I often feel like I'm not doing enough for any one given project. And many people stick to one project at a time. I've focused on three things until college starts back up: two Projects (one a short story, the other a visual novel video game) and writing down non-ficiton ideas for my Substack.
Right before I started this entry, I told a friend that seeing all of these categories written out like this is very encouraging. It shows me that YES, I AM making progress. And even if it's the SAD months, I can still make meaningful progress.
Wait, hold on... Let's get into the first part.
# Part 1: Website
It also helps that today was the day that I was finally able to get my site up and running. And without any help! Woo!
There was just one little thing I had to change in the back of the site and my site finally appeared. Then it was a matter of starting to shift things in the way I needed them to look. So if you happened to see Blog 3? I'm writing all of this mere minutes after double-checking all of those numbers. Making sure the categories lined up properly in my calendar. And it's still shocking that I wrote 10K words last month. Even on weeks that weren't great.
Now if only I can give myself a break tomorrow...
# Part 2 : Project Moonshadow
Word count 1,272
This short story follows a similar pattern that a lot of my stories go: breaking abusive cycles.
Isaac (the protagonist) faces an energy vampire, and I'd been stewing on what would happen and what he would do for weeks. And I was finally able to get a draft out of my head.
Now I just need to brainstorm for the next couple of chapters...
# Part 3: Project Castro
Word count: 277
I was stuck on the same scene from a couple of weeks ago, and I was finally able to get that out of my head as well (why is this a theme this week?).
This visual novel is a meet-cute. And the two main characters finally catch up with each other in this scene! That and a couple of mutual friends.
There's still one more scene left, though. Where the two characters get to really talk things out
# Part 4: Flash Fiction Friday 334

On Friday I had this one idea that I just couldn't help but write first before flash fiction. It had to do with the movies that I watch during the holidays. Some of them are usual nostalgia-movies and -films. But there's a couple that I hope is a surprise.
# Conclusion
It really felt like I didn't write that much at all. But after checking my notes, I wrote much more than I believed. I did a lot this week; cleaning, attending a party, and a lot of processing. I rested most of the day, but then I ended up being able to set up my site. Much excite! So I'm really going to have to take tomorrow off to rest.
I'll allow myself to write. But it'll be by hand. And hopefully mostly in my diary (I don't count those words).
Until next week! (I'll word on a snappy catchphrase in the meantime.)
